What are our Customer Due Diligence obligations if we act as a sub-agent for another estate agent?
Your client is the instructing agent and a risk assessment and customer due diligence must be conducted on that agency. However as they are a regulated business they will be low risk and CDD will be quite simple.
Moreover the beneficial owners of the property are the current owners and therefore risk assessments and CDD must be completed on those individuals.
