As part of a Digital Onboarding or Online Biometric ID Verification invite, clients can use one of the following identity documents:
- Passport.
- UK driving licence (full or provisional).
- National identity card.
- Residence Permit or Biometric Residence Card (where applicable).
- UK firearms certificate.
Only original, physical documents can be used. Scans, photocopies, screenshots, or previously saved images of identity documents are not accepted, as the document must be photographed live during the verification process. This enables the system to carry out authenticity checks and helps protect against fraudulent or altered documents.
To maximise the chances of a successful verification, clients should ensure the document is well lit, fully visible, free from glare or shadows, and photographed directly from the original document.
If a client does not have a valid form of the accepted photo ID listed above, they cannot complete Digital Onboarding or an Online Biometric ID Verification. In these circumstances, the client will need to be onboarded manually within the platform
