Why are transactions showing as batched?

Transactions are batched when related to the same payment. For example, three £100 rent payments grouped together to allocate against a £300 Landlord Expense. When posting the payment, three separate transactions appear on the ledger. ‘Group By Batch’ will combine them into one £300 transaction, showing the number of grouped payments in brackets.
