I've received error message "Could not retrieve your Title Register data:"..
If you receive this message "Could not retrieve your Title Register data: The title number provided has application(s) pending against it and back-dated office copies were not requested. Please make a new request for back dated office copies or a new request when the application is.";
It is when Land Registry are either working on the title (so say for example it is being registered for the first time) or some kind of change on the title register.
You will have to either:
- obtain alternative proof of ownership - (please speak with your MLO re. acceptable alternative proof)
- or contact Land Registry directly to order back dated copies
Alternatively you can wait for the application to be completed. However this is reliant on Land Registry timescales and you checking back regularly for availability of the updated register.
