What does in platform onboarding mean?

To onboard a client in-platform means that you would add the client, complete the risk assessment and then complete the due diligence "in platform".

Client risk assessment

This is the opposite of digitally onboarding your client. This is where you send an onboarding invite via email and your client completes the risk assessment and completes the verification.
