This guide will look at creating a BLM in iamproperty, allowing property records to be uploaded to Agent’s own website. Before starting you will need the FTP folders from your website provider e.g. nethouseprices.com and any IDs for the uploads.
Getting started
From ‘My Account’ click ‘Control Centre’ from the drop down menu, select ‘Configuration’ and then in the ‘Configuration’ menu (in left side menu) select ‘Portals’. From Portals, select BLM Setup.
Add New Portal
Once you have received the FTP information from your provider, in the BLM Setup screen, click ‘+ Add New Portal’.
Fill in the fields with the FTP information provided by your supplier. Click ‘Save Portal’.
Once completed with all the required fields, it should look like the example below.
The ftp folder field will always just have a /.
Make sure the FTP url has ftp:// in front of it.
Check FTP Folder
To check the ftp folder take the ftp address (from the Edit Portal screen) and paste it into the file directory and use the login details that you have been provided to check this.
If you are updating an existing upload then the client will already have the ID required. Otherwise they will need to get them from their provider, the IDs will be for either sales or lettings or in some cases there will be a combined ID. Enter these into the ‘Branches Settings’ area of the screen. Type the ID provided into the appropriate fields. Add .blm after the ID.
After this go to portal settings and upload the portals.
Depending on the website provider they may upload the files straight away or when the server has refreshed. You can check to see if they have been uploaded and sent properly through Portals>Batch reports.
