My buyer is using a personal representative, what do I do?
If you are dealing with the personal representative of a buyer they are not your client therefore no risk assessment or customer due diligence (CDD) is required on them.
However the person they represent will be the buyer of the property and therefore you must risk assess and complete CDD on them.
It is best practice to obtain confirmation in writing from the buyer to confirm the appointment of the personal representative.
